Dave Chapple - Vocals/Lead Guitar
Dave has played guitar and sang professionally and semi-professionally for many years.
He has a great voice which is well suited to the type of material played by the band.
He is also a very versatile guitarist and can play virtually any genre of music from
Rock & Blues to Funk & Country. His choice of guitar is the Fender Telecaster. Dave
owns several of these guitars and he has recently purchased a B-bender Telecaster
which is particularly useful when he plays country music. When gigging Dave uses
a Boss ME 70 Effects Pedal Board linked to a Fender Frontman Combo
John Walker - Rhythm Guitar
John has played in different bands for more years than he cares to remember. In times
gone by he has played support to The Animals, Donavan, The Small Faces, The Rocking
Berries and PJ Proby. He is the founder member of the band and is usually responsible
for its management and promotion. His choice of guitar is the Fender Stratocaster
though he can often be seen playing a Gordy Redshift - a rare English custom built
guitar made in 1986. He also owns a fully restored 1964 Vox Lynx semi acoustic electric
guitar which he has yet to gig. When gigging John uses an ME 70 Effects Pedal Board
linked either to an 18 watt Valvepower amp and Blackstar twin speaker cab (great
amp for small gigs) or a Fender Frontman Combo
Malcolm Benson - Bass Guitar/Vocals
Geoff Tanner - Drums
Bass player Malcolm Benson started playing in his teens, intially on lead guiter,
later transferring to bass where there was less competition. He has played in many
rock and blues bands over the years, and is also a regular at several blues jams,
his solid bass playing being much appreciated.
Malcolm plays Fender Jazz and Precision basses, and can occasionally be seen wielding his Musicman Sterling fretless bass. For amplification he currently uses a Carvin BX500 head feeding two Aguilar 12” cabinets, with a Zoom B2.1U effects unit.
Geoff Tanner started playing drums aged 10 and turned professional in his early teens
playing a broad range of music with different bands. From the 1980’s onwards he toured
the UK and Europe with many bands , playing large venues and recording regularly,
often as a retained artist for a number of record companies. He also played regularly
for BBC Birmingham Geoff brings a wealth of experience and talent to the band. He
uses a DW drum kit with lots & lots & lots of cymbals!!!!
